Dr. Ruchi Sinha is the Head Librarian of SSR College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Silvassa. She has been serving the college since last 14th years. She holds three masters’ degree a PhD title. She has 20th years experience.

She is an approved PhD Guide of JJT University; Rajasthan. Two students have already completed their PhD in Library & Information Science under her mentorship.


She has published 12 Research Papers in National and International Journals and Conferences. She has written a book titled “Information Technology in College Libraries” in collaboration with Himalaya Publishing House, Mumbai.

The title of Best Librarian was conferred on her in the year 2009 by Bilimora Vibhag Kalyani Mandal Bilimora, Gujarat; the award of The Best Women Librarian was bestowed on her in the year 2022 by Madras Library Assocation, Chennai.

She was acknowledging for her revolutionary work in the field of Library Science by the same Association in the year 2023. They faced the NAAC Committee in 2019 and she presented their library very well. She has also created a Library website of their Library or has created an E-Library.
